March 10th was an exciting night. My bike came in! Lucky for me, most of it was put together before it was shipped. It was my job to remove all the packaging and secure the front wheel, handle bars, seat, and pedals.

The next evening, I took it out for a spin. Despite the steep learning curve in the beginning, it was a stellar ride. The brakes were very responsive, gears shifted with ease, and I found myself gliding past everyone on the Schuylkill river path. Areas of the river path were flooded from our recent rain storm, certainly making the ride more exciting. After an hour and a half of riding and stopping for minor bike adjustments and flood diversions, I had completed a 10 mile ride. Here's me at the end:
